Culinary Arts Camp
Culinary Arts Camp is a fun-filled educational week that will introduce campers to the world of the culinary arts brought to you by Sodexo Campus Services at The Pennington School.
Come join us in the kitchen to create fun and interesting menu items. Learn how to create an entire five course meal of soups, salads, main course, side dishes, and desserts! Each day will focus on learning how to prepare the particular course for the day.
Here is a list of discussions and activities that will happen every day:
- Kitchen safety
- Knife skills
- Equipment training
- Food handling
- Menu planning process
- Fun food facts
- Chef tricks of the trade
- Creativity and experimentation.
- Hands on practice of all techniques
Campers will prepare items each day and will be able to take them home.
Throughout the day campers will enjoy group lessons, discussions about culinary topics, and as one on one instruction with our chef. Campers will also learn about nutrition with our nutritionist Aliz Holzman.
Come join us this summer for your first taste of the culinary world!
