Summer 2017: College Guidance Seminar/College Visitation Experience

EXPERIENCE:

Summer College Guidance Seminar provides students with all they need to know to navigate the essentials of the college research, application and admission process. Topics covered include the Common Application®, The Coalition Application®, interview skills, college essay writing and completion, SAT, ACT, SAT IIs, APs, TOEFL, and other tests,and much more.

The week-long course will also offer college and university campus visits and tours.There will be breaks throughout the day (in addition to a one-hour break for lunch) and students will have opportunities to be outdoors.

The class is graded on a pass/fail basis. Students who meet the requirements of this summer course will not take the College Guidance Seminar during their junior year (normally a one-quarter course).

COURSE OPEN TO:

Students beginning Grades 11- and 12 in fall 2017

ITEMS PROVIDED: Lunch, all course materials

ITEMS TO BRING: an iPad or laptop, personal snacks, and refillable water bottle

COURSE HOURS:
8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Some additional time will be required for assignments completed at home

$695 for students not enrolled at Pennington for 2017-18
