The
Pennington School believes that each graduate should attend the
college or university that best matches his or her own interests
and strengths. In identifying the best place in which to continue
education and work towards future professions, each student's personality,
achievements, and goals are taken into consideration.
The process of finding and selecting the appropriate match is a
thoughtful process that begins during the freshman and sophomore
years. At this time, the college advisors provide an overview of
the college selection process for students and their parents. The
process becomes more focused during the junior year when students
attend college fairs, take the SATs, and start narrowing down their
lists of colleges. During the senior year, students are supported
as they complete and submit applications to the schools of their
choice. Because of the relationships developed between teachers
and students at The Pennington School, students benefit from the
quality of recommendations that their teachers are able to submit
on their behalf.
