Admission Process

The Pennington School seeks to enroll students of good character and demonstrated citizenship who enjoy being part of a community that welcomes and encourages the participation of each of its members. Students should have strong academic ability and should be seeking to build a record of personal achievements appropriate for college admission.

In order to make the application process as easy as possible, please use our online application for admission by clicking here. You may also use the SSAT Standard Online Application, or the TABS (The Association of Boarding Schools) Common Application. Once you begin the application process, you will be able to save your work if you need to complete the application at a later date. Please feel free to check on the links below for specific information regarding the particular documents required for each grade level and program.

Admission Timeline

Application Deadline:
February 1
All applications completed by the February 1 deadline will be reviewed by the Admission Committee. Late applications will be considered after April 10 on a space-available basis.

Notification Date:
March 10
Decision letters will be mailed on March 10 to candidates who completed the application process by the February 1 deadline.

Decision Date:
April 10
Parents of accepted students are asked to respond to the Office of Admission with their decision by April 10. In order to confirm their enrollment, families deciding to enroll at Pennington must submit their contract and deposit by April 10.
