The Pennington Stingrays team is a USS / year-round team designed to provide a fun experience for the competitive swimmer at The Pennington School. The goal of the club is to promote a healthy athletic lifestyle and to introduce kids to their potential abilities through discipline, hard work, and a positive attitude. The Pennington Stingrays swimming program is for the competitive swimmer and is open to ages 5 to 18.
Practices are designed to be fun, informative, and challenging for all participants. The Pennington Stingrays swim team competes in dual swim meets and open meets throughout Mercer County. There have been a lot of changes to the Stingrays club since its inception. We are now a Certified USA Swimming Team (USS). Swimmers who participate with this team will need to be registered USA swimming members. (Stingrays can provide information on how to register; it is an easy process.) At Pennington Stingrays, we offer ALL levels of swimming in levels 1, 2, or 3 and attend local and national competitions. Most of our athletes become the best athletes in the local area, and several of our highly trained athletes have achieved national rankings. Our club mission is on track to include national to international recognitions for the club, Stingray athletes, and the coaches.
The team is managed and coached by Andy Sichet, director of Stingrays, and George Ward of Pennington Stingrays.
