The Pennington School has announced the appointment of Stephen D. Milich as director of admission. Milich comes to Pennington from The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, Calif., where he had been associate director of admission since 2008. In a career devoted to admissions at both school and college levels, he previously held positions as associate director of admission and team leader at New York University, admission counselor at Occidental College, and admission officer at Drew University.

At Pennington, Milich will oversee the recruiting and enrollment of prospective students, as well as financial aid decisions. Originally from Fairfield, N.J., Milich is a graduate of Drew University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He will live on the Pennington campus and will begin his duties on July 16.

“We are delighted to welcome Steve Milich to the Pennington community,” said Head of School Stephanie G. Townsend in making the announcement. “He brings new ideas and a fresh perspective, both of which are always welcome in independent schools.”

Milich succeeds Mark Saunders, who has taken a position as director of admission at the Alexander Dawson School in Boulder, Colo.
