Alex H. - Class of 2021

“I’m involved in the drama program, I play guitar and sing in a band, Scarab, and this year, I’m taking Computer Science. I like to take part in a little bit of everything, and I find at Pennington there’s a lot of opportunities to explore and discover yourself. I came in as a freshman, and it was really easy to meet people. I found a great group of friends; there’s definitely a strong sense of community.

I’ve never been able to play in a band before now, and I am also part of chorus and take part in the musical. The entire community makes me feel extremely comfortable. It becomes really enjoyable to learn and go to school here because of that. I’ve been able to think about what I want to do, and start preparing for it, which is one of the reasons I’m so happy to join the Computer Science team. It’s what I want to pursue later in life, and to be able to learn about that now is extremely helpful.

Pennington has really allowed me to discover who I am and who I want to be.”
