The Outdoor Adventure Camp is an opportunity for all participants to enjoy challenging and non-competitive activities while gaining an appreciation and respect for the outdoors. Our vision is to create a culture of self discovery and social inclusion that promotes an individual’s development both personally and as a member of the community.

Each day of the week will be a new adventure featuring one of the following activities:

Hiking - an easy to moderate hike with some elevation. Campers are encouraged to wear athletic sneakers and use a backpack that will allow them to keep their hands free. String bags are not the best option.

Rock Climbing - professional guides will set top ropes and belay campers in harnesses with helmets as they scale natural rock faces. In the case of inclement weather, campers will be brought to an indoor climbing facility for a similar experience.

Biking - campers will bike along the towpath that follows the Delaware-Raritan Canal either along a branch in Pennsylvania or in New Jersey.

Ropes Course - campers will challenge their fear of heights and wobbly paths suspended above the ground at the Treetop Adventure Course at the Turtle Back Zoo.

Paddle Boarding - with one of the most highly qualified paddleboard instructors in the state as our guide, campers will learn balance and paddling techniques before exploring various waterways near the Jersey shore.

Surfing - campers will begin with a lesson on the beach about how to paddle into a wave and then jump up on their boards before heading out into the waves with our experienced instructors.

Canoeing/Kayaking/Tubing - campers will take to the waterways, either on a canal or in a river, for a wet adventure of paddling or floating along a canal or down a river.
