USA Culture & Education Summer Camp

A unique opportunity to gain an authentic experience of a United States boarding school near Princeton, New Jersey

The Pennington School is pleased to announce a partnership with US China Culture Organization to provide a unique residential English language summer program. The English and cultural immersion experience at Pennington gives international students the opportunity to practice and improve their English skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing while gaining knowledge of American culture and history. The program allows students to interact with American students and to participate in a variety of activities. The program is divided into classroom instruction, off-campus cultural activities including trips to Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania, on-campus instruction in sports, fine arts, and other specialty courses, evening enrichment activities, and weekend excursions to both historic sites of interest and area recreational attractions.

Held at the beautiful Pennington School campus in Pennington, NJ, the English and cultural immersion experience at Pennington is designed to immerse your child in the English language and American culture. Highlights of the three-week experience include:

Two ninety-minute periods of instruction in history and literature each day, taught by experienced Pennington School teachers

10-to-1 student/teacher ratio

Afternoon and evening activities led by American university students

Weekday trips to tour prestigious area universities including Princeton and University of Pennsylvania

Weekend educational excursions to historic sites in New York and Philadelphia including the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall

Weekend recreational trips to see a Broadway show in New York City and view a professional baseball game

8:30-9:20 a.m. -- English Class
9:30-10:20 a.m. -- Writing and Speaking Class
10:30-11:20 a.m. -- American History Class
11:30-12:00 p.m. -- Lunch
12:15-12:45 p.m. -- Quiet Reading
1:00-1:50 p.m. -- Art-O-Rama
2:00-2:50 p.m. -- American Board Games/Activities
3:00-3:50 p.m. -- Physical Activities/American Picnic Games
4:00-4:50 p.m. -- Break (Pool or Open Gym)
5:00-6:00 p.m. -- Dinner
6:30-8:30 p.m. -- Evening Outing or Activity on campus
9:00-9:30 p.m. -- Showers and Bed
10:00 p.m. -- Lights Out
