Girls Code the World Camp
Applied Science students inspire girls to codeIn July 2018, two Pennington students had the opportunity inspire twelve middle school girls from the Christina Seix Academy, a school that serves low income families in Trenton. The summer camp program called "Girls Code the World," led and designed by Pennington seniors Mina S. and Sydney G., was created to teach coding and instill confidence in girls so they can see how females can contribute to the STEM field. Mina and Sydney also hired classmate Gabby C. '19 to assist them in leading the camp. The middle school girls in the five-day camp learned to code, practiced different design and tool-based engineering activities, and created print 3D objects using CAD software.
