The Silva Gallery of Art at The Pennington School will host Eye-Hand Coordination: Works by James Fiorentino from October 13 through December 10, 2025. In this exhibit, the Silva Gallery has curated Fiorentino’s sports and nature work into a singular show for the first time, allowing visitors to understand how his technique effectively portrays various subjects and topics.
James Fiorentino (b. 1977) is an American artist who specializes in watercolor and the artistic convergence of sports and nature. He currently resides in Hunterdon County, NJ. His works of art have been internationally recognized since an early age; at fifteen, Fiorentino became the youngest artist ever to be featured in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum for his likeness of Reggie Jackson. In 1998, Fiorentino became the youngest artist to be inducted into the prestigious New York Society of Illustrators, alongside such notable artists as Norman Rockwell and Andrew Wyeth.

Fiorentino’s super-realistic watercolor paintings of athletes have been featured on Topps and Upper Deck trading cards and on numerous magazine covers. His nature and wildlife paintings have been used to support conservation efforts across New Jersey and have been made into educational materials. He serves as a trustee for the D&R Greenway Land Trust and the Raptor Trust of New Jersey. His most recent venture resulted in the publication of The Art of Baseball, which will be available at the reception for Fiorentino to sign!
