“To Whom it May Concern”
Upper School Student Art Exhibition
The Silva Gallery of Art is pleased to present its comeback show, “To Whom It May Concern.” This new Upper School student exhibition highlights artistic work completed during the 2021-22 school year, and is just a small fraction of all of the beautiful pieces that the students have produced during this time. We finally returned this year to using our arts spaces and tools to their full potential, and now we are overjoyed to fill the Silva Gallery with work that speaks to each student’s personal experience. The students chose the title “To Whom It May Concern” because they believe that all the work now hanging in the gallery—from self-portraits to photos of where they live, from teapots to paintings of imaginary places—represents their personal expressions of themselves as artists, as their stories that are told not to a specific person, but to whoever is viewing them. The student artists are delighted to offer these expressions as gifts to all who want to take them in.
