Aquatics at Pennington
All lap-swimming and swimming lessons will remain on hold through the end of the 2020–21 School year. We encourage those interested in preschool-aged swim lessons and adult lap swimming to please check back in late summer for updates.
Complete aquatics center with indoor pool
After more than 80 years of competitive swimming at the secondary school level, The Pennington School has brought swimming, as a sport and a life skill, into the mainstream of School and community activities. Our extensive aquatics program provides opportunities for access to the School’s Michael T. Martin Aquatic Center Monday through Friday during the school day. Pennington students, faculty, parents, and members of the community are encouraged to sign up for classes, lap-swimming, and swim lessons. The Pennington School is an authorized provider of American Red Cross swimming lessons. Swim lesson instructors are certified either as water safety instructors or as instructor's aides. Swim lessons are offered during the week Monday through Friday during the school day for children ages nine months through preschool-age who are not yet enrolled in full-day kindergarten.
Pennington’s program promotes health and wellness, and it teaches swimming as a life skill. We encourage every student at Pennington to become a strong swimmer.
