WE STAND FOR A WORLD WHERE ALL GIRLS HAVE THE POWER TO ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS.
Teenage girls in developing countries lose 300+ hours of school time (1.5 years) because of the lack of menstrual materials, which keeps them home from school each month rather than allowing them to pursue their academic goals.
A NEW PRODUCT INNOVATION – “WISSP”
Pennington STEM students used the engineering design process to create an innovative menstrual product and a delivery system called “WISSP.” With WISSP, local women sew and sell these menstrual products, keeping teenage girls in school so they can achieve their economic ambitions.
LOCAL WOMEN LIFT THE LIVES OF LOCAL TEENAGE GIRLS
We designed and built an economic infrastructure for refugee women to sew, sell, and use WISSP to boost the number of teenage girl school hours and, in the process, help them attain business skills. In just six months we have 18 women sewing and selling and 1,000 products in the market, already serving 200 of the teenage girl population. Our system is live!
100% PERIOD CARE FOR TEENAGE GIRLS IN THE MALAWI REFUGEE CAMP – DZALEKA
Our goal is to enable all teenage girls living in the refugee camp Dzaleka to stay in school and reach their full potential. This is only possible with your help.
ENABLE GIRLS IN STEM TO SOLVE REAL WORLD PROBLEMS
Your gift allows Pennington female STEM students scale WISSP so 100% of Dzaleka refugee teenage girls can achieve their dreams.
