Pennington parent shares advice for students interested in engineering

On Friday, April 22, Gordon Ennis P'23 spoke to Applied Science students about his work as vice-president of operations and supply chain for BlueCrest Inc. With an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, a master's degree in systems engineering, and an MBA, Ennis talked knowledgeably about what qualities he believes go into making a successful engineer: creativity, a passion for solving problems, and curiosity.

Going into more detail about his day-to-day work at BlueCrest, which makes mail insertion products, Ennis said there are always "a thousand tiny little things" that engineers need to solve, but that can be part of the fun. "If this interests you...just explore, tinker, play; go out there and have some fun," he suggested. Words to inspire success in all future engineers!
