Boys' swim team captures NJISAA B title today

Pennington's boys' swim team swam a fantastic state championship meet today and regained the Prep B title that they lost to Morristown Beard one year ago.

Pennington boys' win their eighth state swimming championship after numerous personal bests by many of the varsity swimmers.

There was no shortage of fantastic efforts in the meet. At this point, three new school records will be highlighted. The 200 Medley Relay Team (Ben Eckerson Koray Ercan, Oliver Gassman and David Curtiss) placed third overall in a time of 1:39.32 and David Curtiss set records in the 50 Free (20.25) and the 100 Free (46.03).

Additionally, David Curtiss was named the "Swimmer of the Meet" for the NJISAA B Division and set two meet records in each event. Chris Jacobs, a former Olympian, held the old 100 Free record. Jacobs set the record in 1983.
