Dr. Michael Massimino is a former NASA astronaut, an actor on the television series "The Big Bang Theory," host of the television show "The Planets," and a published author of the book Spaceman: An Astronaut's Unlikely Journey to Unlock the Secrets of the Universe. Currently a professor of mechanical engineering at Columbia University, Dr. Massimino is coming to speak at Pennington this Monday, January 8 at 3:00 in the Wesley Forum.

Dr. Michael Massimino attended Columbia University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering in 1984. He then earned his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Technology and Public Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He continued his education at MIT, earning a degree in mechanical engineer in 1990 and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering in 1992. Massimino, a very entertaining speaker, will talk about his career and then welcome questions from the audience. Please join us for this special event!

All Applied Science students are required to attend this lecture, but the entire Pennington community is welcome and encouraged to attend.
