Jordan Mahony '21 set to join American University Womens' Soccer

According to TopDrawerSoccer.com, standout Pennington girls’ soccer defender, Jordan Mahony, is set to follow her sister with her college commitment.

Her older sister, Olivia, is currently a junior on the women’s soccer program at American University but her decision went beyond that.

“I liked that the program competes in the Patriot League, the strong academics and great location in Washington D.C.,” Mahony told TopDrawerSoccer.

Mahony’s been a part of successful teams at Pennington, where her team has won the past three Prep A New Jersey State Champions, and twice as Mercer County Champs. She plays soccer and lacrosse, and has played the past five years in the ECNL for FC Delco.

The younger Mahony also hit it off with the coaching staff at American, which took over at the end of December 2019.

“I felt a strong connection with new coaches Marsha Harper and Katie Greenberg, and excited about the future they are building for American University Women’s Soccer,” she said.
