During the week of August 31, The Pennington School kicked off the 2020–21 school year with a full roster of orientation events, both on campus and online.
The week started off with an orientation program for ninth-grade students. On Monday, the freshman class spread out in circles across Heritage Field, where Peer Leaders led students in ice breaker activities and games.
On Wednesday, September 2, Middle School students began their year with the annual Middle School LAUNCH, led by Junior Proctors. LAUNCH began on the athletic fields with games and relay races, and students finished the day with a spirited and wonderfully messy color run.
All grades were invited on campus throughout the week to acclimate to the School. Students toured the facilities, learned about safety procedures, and participated in community-building exercises. Additionally, drama students began rehearsals, and athletics teams worked hard at preseason practices.
Classes began on Tuesday, September 8. It is wonderful to see everyone back on campus!
