Senior Class Gift announced

The Pennington School senior class committee vice president Logan Hill and president Gavin Hart have announced the 2020 Senior Class Gift.

For their Senior Class Gift, the Class of 2020 plans to donate half of its funds to Capital Health Medical Center. Specifically, the donation will be made to the Capital Health COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund. The amount of this donation is $5,000.

“This is one way we would like to show our appreciation for everyone who has worked to make these tough times a little bit easier,” said Hill.

The Class of 2020 also intends to use 50% of their funds to add a statue of the School's mascot, a red-tailed hawk, to the campus. The statue will be installed on either the Campus Center plaza or another location determined by the School.

“Very few people know we are the Red Raiders. That is why we are supporting this effort with the ‘Perseverance Hawk,’” said Hart.

Hart hopes the statue will bring recognition to the athletic teams and be a symbol of honor, virtue, humility, perseverance, and grit for the student body.
