On Friday, February 7, Karun Pothacamury P'21 spoke to Pennington students about "Modular Innovation: Evolving Your Technology Baseline." After pointing out examples of modularity that students already have experienced, he discussed the various forms innovation can take, from academic theory to applications in business. The cycle of innovation "can be in any walk of life," he said. "You have to decide where you fit." He went on to list what he calls "innovation drivers." They are "inquisitiveness, ingenuity, persistence, a constant itch to do better, and yearning to make a difference."
Pothacamury currently leads the data engineering team within enterprise information management at Bristol-Myers Squibb. His talk was part of the Applied Science Speakers Series.
