Varsity girls' basketball defeats Hun

Pennington's varsity girls' basketball team utilized a wide range of players and talents in a big victory over The Hun School on February 6. Today's final score was 78-41 for Pennington.

Pennington brushed off some spotty shooting in the first quarter and warmed up during the second quarter when they posted 26 points.

MK Kramli '22 poured in 24 points on the strength of six three-pointers. Kramli shot sixty percent from behind the three point arc. Kramli also had two rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Diamond Christian '19 provided eight assists while grabbing eight rebounds and four steals.

Leah Johnson '19 scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Johnson also blocked three shots. Johnson's 16-point game leaves her needing 32 more points to hit the 1,000 point mark.

Taylor Blunt '20 scored nine points and added 11 rebounds. Erika Makela '20 chipped in six points. Gianna Lucchesi had a strong game defensively and scored five points and five rebounds.

Dana Kiefer '21 scored four points while Emma Garry '19 played strong defense and chipped in a bucket.

Sophia Kavulich hit for five points and Brynn Taranto completed the scoring by hitting a late basket. Amy Garry '19, Ava Kavulich '21, Jackie King ;21 and Jenna Bluni '22 played well for Pennington.

Senior Night lies ahead for the Red Raiders on Friday, February 8. The Red Raiders will face Bound Brook High School at home at 6:00 p.m.
