Science-a-Palooza

Experience science in a fun and engaging way.

CAMP EXPERIENCE:

The best way to understand science is to experience science. Immerse yourself in activities from a variety of science fields that involve fun experiments and projects. Have “a blast” in the chemistry lab performing reactions such as making slime that you can take home! Explore the depths of Pennington’s pond and discover which organisms live there. Build a catapult and compete for who can launch objects the furthest! There has been a crime at the camp! Can you solve it using forensic science?

Melissa DeFelice has a degree in marine biology from Richard Stockton University. She has ten years of teaching experience, with five years at Pennington. She has taught, biology, chemistry, environmental science, ecology, and marine biology. Her interests in science range from biochemistry to environmental issues and sustainability.
