Calendar

Class of 2026

We have begun scheduling for the next academic year and need parents’ input to formulate an appropriate course of study for their child. To become more familiar with our course offerings, please review the 2024–25 Upper School Course Catalog  and the Course Selection Overview. Then, please fill out the Course Request Form for the Class of 2026 by May 1, 2024

A typical Grade 11 course of study in our seven-period schedule includes the five core subject areas (Math, English, World Language, Science, and History) and one additional period of elective study (typically the semester course Religion and Ethics and an Arts selection). Juniors may elect to use the remaining period of the day for study or to request one additional course of their choosing.

Additionally, as I am sure you are aware, in advance of junior year students may apply to either the Global Studies or Applied Science certificate programs, which begin in Grade 11. If you wish to consider this option, visit the Applied Science or Global Studies pages for more information.

You will note that in each of the core subjects there is an option to select an honors-level course. Placement in these courses is subject to department approval and a student’s performance on a placement exam. Placement exams are administered for students who request an honors-level course, advanced math course, or advanced world language course (level III and above). More information will follow once we receive and process your completed Course Selection Form.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Debbie Mitchell, registrar, at dmitchell@pennington.org or 609-737-6136 to schedule a time to speak with Dean of Academic Affairs Scott Peeler. We look forward to welcoming your child to the Pennington community and providing the academic opportunities and individual attention that are the hallmarks of our School’s history.
