Ethan Han, a member of Pennington’s Class of 2029, is making a big splash in the world of competitive swimming. Han is a member of the New Jersey-based Whitewaters Swimming club which practices and competes out of Pennington’s Michael T. Martin Aquatic Center.
One of the top 13-year-old swimmers in the country, Han added to his highly-ranked national times at the Eastern Zone Short Course Age Group Championships in Webster, NY.
The Pennington eighth-grader set personal bests to win six events in the boys’ 13-14 age group, and he now owns the fastest times among 13-year-old boys this season in both the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
Han won the 100 freestyle in 46.41 and the 100 breast in 56.24. He also won the 200 free (1:42.13), 500 free (4:38.95), 100 back (51.30) and 200 back (1:51.45), which were all personal best times.
