Junior Sara Surtz Scores Her 100th Career Goal

On senior day, Sara Surtz '27 scored her 100th career goal in a Pennington Girls' Lacrosse uniform and the Red Hawks defeated Stuart Country Day by a score of 14-4.

Surtz tallied fourteen, fifty two, and thirty three goals, respectively, in each of her first three seasons. Coming into today's game, she needed only one goal, which she took care of early in the first quarter as she dodged a defender and came out from behind the goal to fire the ball into the net.

Equally impressive about Surtz is her ability to share the ball and goal scoring load with her teammates. Coming into today's game, she assisted thirteen, forty seven, and fifteen goals, respectively, in her first three seasons.

Before the matchup, Pennington honored ten seniors from Class of 2026 who will soon be graduating. Captains Natalie Maschler, Evie Argiropoulos, and Norah Youngblood were joined by fellow seniors Lina Cortes, Olivia Craig, Alexandra Van Arsdale, Emery Miller, Mandy Cordone, and team managers Emma Goodrich and Olivia Lee.

This close knit group of women have played together and supported each other for four years, many developing from junior varsity players into team starters alongside one another.
