Pennington girls' soccer player leaps over an opposing player

Pennington's varsity girls' soccer team is off to an excellent start this season, as they have won their first seven games. The Red Hawks offense has scored plenty of goals; however, it is the defense that continues to impress, gaining five shutouts to date.

Senior captains Reagan Amberson and Ava Brass anchor the team's defensive line that includes goalkeepers Ava Brochon and Katie Dwyer, as well as Olivia Davis, Lina Ballmann, Alexandra VanArsdale, Abby Goodrich, Ellie Fermo, and Simonne Blunt.

Pennington's midfield plays a key role in helping the defensive effort as well as setting up and scoring goals. The midfield includes Kendall Malmros, Sophia Murphy, Meg Balerna, Caelin CheeWah, Arden Galvelis, Liz Holstein, Laney Keith, and Mariah Lynch.

The attack is led by junior captain Morgan Kotch. Joining her on the front line are Mackenzie Kotch, Hailey Adamsky, Sara Chrnelich, Brianna Turner, Lia Brunetti-Caroll, Ava Surtz, and Catie Kain.

The Red Hawks face a tough week as they will play against The Hun School and Hopewell Valley. Be sure to come support the team as they continue playing great soccer!
