Last fall, community members gathered to officially launch Pennington’s historic Forever Pennington campaign. This $50M comprehensive effort focuses on four pillars: the student experience, faculty excellence, campus and community spaces, and financial sustainability. Thanks to generous donors from across the School community, we have seen momentum and excitement within each of these strategic priority areas. Now, a year later, we celebrate early milestones with recently completed projects and compelling opportunities for philanthropic investment.

The Plaza at Meckler Library is a newly designed gathering space at the heart of campus, providing a beautiful and practical area for collaboration and learning. The thoughtfully designed plaza features seating surrounding the “Fountain of Knowledge.” Enhanced landscaping and an expanded patio create a seamless transition into the existing backdrop. This addition to Pennington’s outdoor community spaces is a significant step in realizing the School’s vision of creating a cohesive, safe, and inviting pedestrian campus—as articulated in the School’s strategic plan and campus master plan. The project has received generous support from the Meckler Family and the estate of Susan R. Clark ’76, and additional donor commitments for the next stages of the O’Hanlon Green Expansion project remain an ongoing campaign priority.

The Girls’ Locker Room in Sparks Memorial Gymnasium has undergone a major renovation, transforming it into a fresh, modern space for Pennington’s student-athletes. The project is a significant investment in enriching the student experience and helps our young women prepare for and recharge from the hard work they bring to their athletic endeavors. The locker room was gutted and the space was reimagined to maximize the utility of the square footage. Along with the refurbished build-out, the space features new air conditioning, fully upgraded interiors with elevated finishes, and a designated junior varsity team area. The project was made possible thanks to a lead gift from Marian and Ken Disken GP’26 ’27 and generous contributions from Karen and James Griswold P’19 ’22, Michelle and Charles King P’13 ’14 ’16 ’21 ’23, Lisa Van Strat and Dan Mahony P’18 ’21, Coach Wendy Morris, and Patrick Murphy ’80.
