Employees Playing Mahjong

The Pennington School’s Employee Benefits Committee hosted Employee Wellness Week February 17–20, offering faculty and staff a series of wellness-focused activities designed to refresh the body, mind, and spirit. Throughout the week, colleagues gathered in spaces across campus to pause from their routines, connect with one another, and prioritize personal well-being.

The program offered something for everyone. In the Silva Gallery, participants enjoyed hand and chair massages and created personalized essential oil blends at the Aromatherapy Roller Station. A Nutrition Presentation with FLIK’s dietitian encouraged healthy habits, while a Mindfulness Workshop in Sparks Gym provided space for gentle yoga and breathing exercises. TIAA representatives led Retirement Planning Lunch and Learn sessions in the Wesley Forum, and the week concluded with a calming Sound Bath Meditation in the Black Box.

A highlight of the week was the Team Step Challenge, an inclusive, trust-based initiative that encouraged movement without pressure or competition. Faculty and staff tracked daily steps, participated in surprise mini-challenges, and celebrated one another’s efforts. From early morning walks to lighthearted photo submissions, Wellness Week fostered energy, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to healthy habits that extend well beyond a single week.
