This fall, The Pennington School welcomed five new faculty members (Abaigeal Baldrick, Gabrielle Chwae, Michelle Hart ’07, Tyler Kline, and Jane Wilson), alongside three returning teachers who joined our ranks mid year in 2024-25 (Amanda D'Angelo, Adisa Phillips, and Luke Sferra). 

Abaigeal Baldrick joins Pennington as a teaching fellow in the Cervone Center for Learning. She graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, with a BA in English. Currently, Baldrick, who was a paraprofessional at Old Bridge High School last year, is finishing up her master's in teaching from Kansas State University. 

Gabrielle Chwae will be joining the math department. Chwae earned her BA from Vassar College and most recently taught mathematics and history in Virginia before relocating to New Jersey. Additionally, she will be helping out with Middle School soccer and JV girls lacrosse this year.

Amanda D'Angelo is a teacher of compensatory skills who arrived at Pennington late last year. D’Angelo attended Stony Brook University for her BA in psychology and history; Chestnut Hill for her master's degree in special education K-12 and elementary education K-6; and is currently finishing her post-master's degree at Rowan University. She has been a special education educator and interventionist for the last thirteen years.

Pennington alumnae Michelle Hart ‘07 brings a wealth of experience to her new role as teacher of English. She received her undergraduate degree from Hofstra University and her graduate degree from Rutgers University. Previously, she worked as a full-time editor at O, The Oprah Magazine, and is a professional writer. Hart has published a novel along with articles for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and The New Yorker. 

Tyler Kline will also serve as a new teacher of English within the Upper School. Kline brings with him over seven years of teaching experience in the Central Bucks School District and at local colleges and universities. He earned his BA in secondary English education from the University of Delaware and his MFA in creative writing from New York University. 

Adisa Phillips joined Pennington last year and teaches technology, digital citizenship, and media literacy. Phillips graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, with a degree in IT and a minor in digital communication and information media. Before joining Pennington, he worked at Icode Bridgewater.

Luke Sferra is a teacher of compensatory skills at Pennington. He first began his Pennington journey as a teaching fellow within the Cervone Center for Learning last year. Sferra is a graduate of Temple University, where he double majored in English and philosophy. He previously worked at The Titusville Academy as a sixth-grade teacher. 

Jane Wilson joins the Middle School as the new sixth-grade English and history teacher. Previously, she taught middle school English at Chapin for twenty years. She earned her BFA in acting from Boston University and an MA in educational theatre and secondary English from NYU. Additionally, Wilson studied for two years at the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany.
